Adding Graphics to your Site

Finding Graphics on the Web

In the preceding step on how to save graphics onto your computer, three questions were stated that you should be able to answer before saving and using these graphics.

Is this a reliable source for graphics?
Do you have permission to use this graphic?
Does the creator of that graphic want a link back to their site?

If you can answer each one of these questions, then you can begin saving graphics.

Recommended sites to use:

Animation and Graphics for Your Web Site: several graphics that you can browse through; general theme
Ann-S-Thesia: Top Header Graphics: Check the link to "web graphics" for some eye-catching downloads.
Billy Bear's Bullets, Icons, and Clipart: geared especially for elementary use; must pay a small fee to use their images
Chibi Creation: great educational themes are available here; on extreme right hand side under "Free Web Page Graphics Categories" is a list of sets you can use
Clipart.com: This site offers a jumping place to thousands of free graphics on the Internet.
Country Graphics: country and school themes
Discovery School Graphics: graphics for school pages
Free Graphics: hotlist of free graphics
The Free Site: list of free web resources including graphics
Graphic Effects: general theme

Graphic Garden: country and school themes; graphic sets
Graphic Maps: free world, nation, country, and flag graphics

Laurie McCanna's Free Art Site: free graphics as well as tutorials for creating your own graphics
MACfonts.com: download your free MAC fonts here
PCFonts.com: download free PC fonts here

Media Builder: create your own personalized buttons and banners here or find one that's already created

Skylight's Kids Graphics: geared especially for elementary use
