Flash: Beyond Basics

1. Workshop:
   open activity3_example.fla and activity3.fla
2. Aligning buttons to the stage is simple when you use the "Align" panel.
3. Open the "Align" panel ("Windows" > "Align") then select "Align Left Edge" and "Distribute Vertical Center". Make sure that "To Stage" is turned "off".

1. Workshop: open activity4_example.fla, activity4_sound.fla and activity4.fla
2. When adding sounds to your buttons, add another layer, then add a frame either on the "Over" or the "Down" state.
3. With the frame highlighted where you want your sound to occur, drag the sound onto the stage.
4. Be sure that you select "Event" in the "Properties Window".

2. To make this button invisible (see the 3 images for steps 2-4):
   1. Select a blank area on the stage to make sure nothing is selected
   2. Select the first two frames in the “text” and “shape” layers
   3. drag all four frames to reposition them one frame over to the right
   4. release the mouse to drop them in the new location
